While I consider myself a movie snob, I think I might be even more of a snob when it comes to television.
I try to avoid watching the four major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX). I don’t like networks who give new shows an average of 3 weeks to get good ratings before pulling the plug. Plus, I find the lack of talent in the performances and writing to be too much to overcome.
I believe the best shows on TV come from cable networks. HBO, FX, USA, Showtime, AMC, etc.
Here are what I believe to be the 10 best dramas/comedies on TV:
DRAMA
1. MAD MEN
2. JUSTIFIED
3. SONS OF ANARCHY
4. GAME OF THRONES
5. THE KILLING
COMEDY
1. CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM
2. IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA
3. ARCHER
4. CALIFORNICATION
5. WEEDS
