In celebration of Whitney Houston’s life I have put together five (and it was hard to choose just five) of my favorite Whitney Houston songs that to me are simply amazing. When Whitney opened her mouth and that voice came out, I was in awe. Whitney will indeed be remembered as one of the most legendary voices of our time. Rest in peace beautiful angel. 5. I Wanna Dance With Somebody: How can you not want to get up and dance when you hear this song? Oh the video may have been cheesy as heck with the permed hair, the pettiskirt and the bright eye shadow, but who’s watching when that voice resonates?
4. So Emotional:
3. It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay: I loved the classic Whitney tracks from early on in her career, but her newer stuff like this song was my jam! Girl power!
2. Heartbreak Hotel: One of my favorite tracks and this was a fab collaboration with Faith Evans and Kelly Price.
1. When You Believe: My favorite singer Mariah Carey teams up with Whitney to duet on this song from the soundtrack of the Prince of Egypt. Two great voices. Two famous divas.
