1. JESSICA CHASTAIN- Already an Oscar nominee, I expect her to become the next Julia Roberts. The only difference will be the fact that Jessica is a better actress already.
2. MICHAEL FASSBENDER- After seeing Shame, I have no doubt that he will become the next great leading man. Not everyone knows him yet, but they soon will. I believe he could be the next 007, when Daniel Craig retires from the role.
In less than three weeks, George Clooney could win his second Oscar. 15 years ago, after jumping from TV to movies, it would have been unimaginable to think that he would have four Oscar nominations and be considered not only one of the biggest stars in the world, but also one the best actors in the biz.
He has come a long way since Batman & Robin.
Here are my choices for the 5 best performances he has given us.
1) THE DESCENDANTS – George still shows charm and his great self-deprecating humor in one of the best films of 2011. It wasn’t until I saw his final scene with his wife who is in a coma, that I knew that this would go down as his best performance so far.

It is that time of year where people celebrate the holidays and ponder possible New Year’s resolutions that they hope to conquer (or attempt to) for the upcoming year. 1) LEONARDO DICAPRIO – Talented, rich, well-respected, ladies man, still young (only 37)…this guy is just hitting his career prime. He can have just about any supermodel he wants, yet still doesn’t feel the pressure of settling down. For that alone he should be number 1.
2) TOM BRADY – All-American movie star looks, perhaps the best QB since Joe Montana, only 34 years old, wealth, fame and having Gisele as your wife isn’t a bad way to live.
3) DEREK JETER – The King of New York City. Already a baseball legend, and he looks even younger than his 38 years. He has has plenty of hotties on his arm, but handled it with class unlike his teammate Alex Rodriguez.
4) GEORGE CLOONEY – The ultimate playboy-bachelor. Oscar winning multi-tasker who always looks like he is enjoying the finer things in life. Was married briefly once when he was in his 20′s, now into his 50′s he says “never again“.
5) RYAN GOSLING – A newcomer when it comes to these guys who “have it all“. He’s in his early 30′s and what he has going for him compared to other actors in his age bracket, is the fact that he is actually a good actor.
